About the name:

The Karhorn (2,416 m) is the main peak of the Karhorn group, which is named after it. During the Ice Age the mountain was surrounded by glacial ice. The massif consists of a narrow, 1000 m wide rock wall with a steep north face. It is home to a popular via ferrata.
