Lech am Arlberg is idyllically situated at an altitude of 1,444 m in the state of Vorarlberg in the west of Austria. The mountain village has been chosen as the “most beautiful village in Europe”. Lech is also a member of the “Best of the Alps” association. Lech is famous for offering its guests everything they look for on holiday: soothing sunshine, fresh, pure mountain air, and peace and quiet.
Lech-Zürs has the highest density of local pubs compared with other countries. Our place was named “International Gourmet Village” by Falstaff.
Ski Arlberg is the largest contiguous ski resort in Austria and one of the five largest ski arenas in the world. But the Arlberg isn’t even a mountain. The Arlberg is the name of a region situated between Vorarlberg and Tyrol that was created for skiing. No other region in the Alps is home to more Olympic champions and world champions in alpine skiing.

A few key tips for winter:

Get a bus with the skiers from right in front of our guesthouse to the Schlosskopf lift, which takes you to the ski resort directly and quickly.

Heliskiing: the Arlberg is the only region in Austria to offer heliskiing. There are two breathtaking peaks to choose from: the Mehlsack summit (for experienced skiers) and the “Schneetäli-Orgelscharte” (for intermediate skiers).

The Arlberg has everything you need to have fun in the snow: horse-drawn sleigh rides through the snow-covered landscape, cross-country skiing in a winter fairytale landscape, winter and snowshoe hiking, and ice-skating.

A few key tips for summer and autumn in the Arlberg:

We are the centre of an impressive world of hiking and mountain peaks. All paths are well marked and maintained. There are numerous huts serving homemade products.

Golf: a 19-hectare, 9-hole golf course is located at 1,500 metres in the Zugertal, in front of an impressive mountain backdrop.

Mountain biking: in Lech and Zürs there are several mountain bike trails for all proficiency levels.

Alpine swimming pool: (“Alpenschwimmbad”): Located right on the river Lech, in the middle of the forest; with a rock island, 25°C warm water, water slide, children’s pool and romantic sunbathing lawn.
