Lech am Arlberg is idyllically situated at an altitude of 1,444 m in the state of Vorarlberg in the west of Austria. The mountain village has been chosen as the “most beautiful village in Europe”. Lech is also a member of the “Best of the Alps” association. Lech is famous for offering its guests everything they look for on holiday: soothing sunshine, fresh, pure mountain air, and peace and quiet.

Lech-Zürs has the highest density of local pubs compared with other countries. Our place was named “International Gourmet Village” by Falstaff.

Ski Arlberg is the largest contiguous ski resort in Austria and one of the five largest ski arenas in the world. But the Arlberg isn’t even a mountain. The Arlberg is the name of a region situated between Vorarlberg and Tyrol that was created for skiing. No other region in the Alps is home to more Olympic champions and world champions in alpine skiing.

The Arlberg in numbers:

  • 305 connected downhill skiing kilometres

  • More than 200 km of deep snow runs

  • 88 state-of-the-art lifts and tracks

  • Diverse downhill runs for beginners and professionals

  • One of the most snow-sure regions in the Alps

  • Variety of fun parks

  • From St. Anton, St. Christoph, Stuben via Zürs and Lech to Schröcken and Warth, amidst the impressive peaks.

A few key tips for winter:

  • Get a bus with the skiers from right in front of our guesthouse to the Schlosskopf lift, which takes you to the ski resort directly and quickly.

  • Heliskiing: the Arlberg is the only region in Austria to offer heliskiing. There are two breathtaking peaks to choose from: the Mehlsack summit (for experienced skiers) and the “Schneetäli-Orgelscharte” (for intermediate skiers).

  • The Arlberg has everything you need to have fun in the snow: horse-drawn sleigh rides through the snow-covered landscape, cross-country skiing in a winter fairytale landscape, winter and snowshoe hiking, and ice-skating.
